Summer Time 4

Here the paint lies in horizontal bands — a dark magenta-and-black passage along the top giving way to a wide field of teal and turquoise crosshatched with fine yellow diagonals. Vertical drips of red and orange hang down through the center like reeds or trailing sparks, thickening into small pooled tips where the paint has run and stopped. A cluster of rounded lavender and cornflower-blue forms floats just right of center, soft-edged against the busy linear ground, while a single coil of pale blue thread loops loosely through the lower half.
