Gallery Veronica Ruiz de Velasco

Veronica Thinking

A woman is seen from behind, her bare shoulders sketched in beige and black outline, with dark hair swept up in a loose knot. She holds a yellow basket wrapped in white, blue and red looping lines, and bursts of pink, gold and olive scribbles rise from its rim. Behind her, thick purple and white strokes cross the canvas in horizontal and vertical bars, dotted with thin red drips. The figure sits still amid the commotion, as if lost in a quiet thought.
