View Yellow

A band of sharp yellow peaks, laid on in wavy, buttery strokes, runs across the middle of the canvas. Above it, teal, magenta and gold are dabbed in small crusty touches. Below, a single long stripe of cobalt blue with gaps in it floats over dark purple and copper streaks that drip and drag downward. The paint is thick in the yellow and smooth in the blue, and the lower field has a muddy, glowing depth. The yellow glows like a lit horizon, a view held in one bright line.
