Abstraction

Raked bands of fine parallel ridges sweep across the canvas in white, grey and blue, laid over a dark ground of crimson, magenta and black. Thin yellow lines streak from left to right, ending in small yellow beads. In the centre a blur of cream and brown could be a face, though it stays unresolved. Tall white drips hang from heavy horizontal smears at right. The surface is combed, scraped and splashed, a face half-seen through rain on glass.
