Amigas / Friends

Four women's heads crowd together in profile and near-profile, jaw to shoulder, under a canopy of loose gold and dark-green calligraphic brushstrokes that read almost like windblown foliage. Skin tones shift from deep amber to pale ivory across the group; dark hair is rendered in quick curling strokes. A turquoise beaded loop drapes across two of the women's necks and shoulders, and the foreground figure wears a ruffled marigold-yellow bodice. Hot pink and scarlet scribble marks fill the lower left corner. The palette is saturated — gold, teal, coral, magenta — against near-black negative space.
