Birds in wind

Against a bare white ground, roughly eleven birds in saturated red, cobalt blue, and mustard-olive perch and dart through a web of looping black and green line-work, like branches drawn in one continuous scribble. Below them, three women in loose, sketch-brushed gowns — sky blue, golden yellow, and crimson — stand shoulder to shoulder, their faces sketched in fine ink-line features, hair rendered in quick strokes of amber and brown. The blue-gowned figure cradles a dark red bird in her hands. The palette stays primary and unmixed throughout, and the artist's green cursive signature sits low, right of center.
