Cuernavaca

Bands of orange, red, and white drip downward through a field of green and yellow, while loose loops of cobalt blue coil and cross through the center like tangled wire. The blue ground shows through in patches beneath the drips, giving the surface a sense of depth under the movement on top. Cuernavaca — an original acrylic on canvas by Veronica Ruiz de Velasco.
