Gallery Veronica Ruiz de Velasco

Energy

A mostly bare white square canvas activated by calligraphic gesture: loose blue circular scribbles cluster in the upper left, answered by jagged black zigzag strokes in the upper right. Below, a dense curtain of vertical drips in red, black, mustard gold, purple, teal, and magenta streaks downward, many ending in small round pooled drops. A few short gray and purple horizontal bars cut across the lower-middle section, and a red cursive signature is visible just right of center near the bottom. The negative space around the marks keeps the composition feeling open despite the density of color. Energy — an original work by Veronica Ruiz de Velasco. Authenticity & Terms.
