Homage to Degas

A radiant burst of white and gold linear strokes fills the left half of the canvas, flaring outward like fireworks caught mid-explosion. To the right, two figures embrace in warm ochre and rust hatching against a dark green ground, one dark head pressed into the other's shoulder, with a narrow band of small wildflowers along the bottom edge.
