La alegría del cine

This canvas commits fully to texture and mash-up of color rather than image: a dense, all-over field of crimson, gold, ochre, and forest green built up in thick, encrusted layers, with white paint spattered across the entire surface like frost or static. Narrow vertical channels of pooled red and drips of deep maroon run top to bottom, giving the surface a sense of gravity and motion even though nothing figurative resolves out of it. The overall impression is celebratory and dense — a saturated, tactile field that rewards close looking at its ridges and splatter rather than any single focal point.
