Little Sunshines

Two horizontal bands of vertical brushwork in blue and green carry loose yellow zigzags stacked on top like little flames, split by a rough white line from a second band below where the same zigzag rhythm repeats in gold and ochre. The repetition gives the canvas a banner-like, upbeat pulse from top to bottom. Little Sunshines — an original acrylic on canvas by Veronica Ruiz de Velasco.
