Thick ropes of acrylic build a basket of flowers against a mottled yellow ground. The container is worked in browns and reds with vertical strokes suggesting wicker, sitting on a flat band of red that reads as a tabletop. Above it, a dense cluster of blooms in cobalt blue, white, and crimson pushes outward in twisted, high-relief impasto — several flowers are single loaded strokes of blue paint left standing off the canvas. A swath of orange cuts through the center of the bouquet, and the artist's grey signature is scrawled across the lower right corner.
