Thick ridges of yellow and orange paint dominate the upper half, laid on with a palette knife in overlapping vertical passes. Large irregular patches of white and silver-gray break through the color like torn paper, exposing streaks of deep maroon and near-black beneath. On the right edge, dark red and olive-green pigment clusters together in denser knots, while small flecks of magenta and pink surface on the left. Vertical drips run the full height of the canvas, and the paint stands proud enough to cast its own shadows across the surface.
