Pequeñas Bailarinas

A crowd of little girls in tutus fills a long, narrow canvas: orange, emerald, lemon yellow, crimson, and a wide skirt of pale blue streaked with white. Three taller figures stand in profile across the top, wearing hair bows in orange, blue and black. Faces are small and simple, limbs sketched in fine dark line. Behind them, slashes of green and black rise like leaves against a bright yellow ground. The skirts are brushed in thick, quick strokes, a row of pequeñas bailarinas waiting their turn.
