Loose bands of blush pink and pale rose stretch across the top third, crossed by looping cobalt scribbles, before the palette drops into a thick horizontal smear of yellow, maroon, and red, crosses a band of pale turquoise, and settles into a tangle of cobalt, green, and black loops along the bottom edge. The paint sits in raised ridges, applied direct and unblended, giving the lower register a knotted, gestural weight against the airy wash above.
