Rosal

Dense clusters of dark maroon and bright yellow circular dabs crowd the canvas edge to edge, built up thick over a ground of red, orange, and gold, with only thin threads of green cutting through here and there. The repetition of dots reads as a packed bed of blooms, with no single stem or bloom given more weight than the next. Rosal — an original oil on canvas by Veronica Ruiz de Velasco.
