Line Study — Figures

A black-line drawing on raw white canvas, built from loose, calligraphic sweeps. Two diagonal tracks cross the composition like ramps or staircases: on the left, three simple circle-headed figures climb a rung-marked incline; on the right, three more figures — diminishing in size, the smallest in a triangular skirt shape — descend a second diagonal, suggesting a family walking into the distance. A large spiraling curl unfurls in the upper right, and a big open circle at bottom-center is bisected by crossing lines. The artist's cursive signature runs along the bottom edge.
