Las palomas del espíritu santo

Two white doves, wings lifted and small dark eyes visible, sit near the center of the canvas, nearly folded into a riot of looping red, blue, green, and black lines that coil like vines or ribbon knots across the surface. Beneath the linework, patches of yellow, green, and white suggest a sunlit garden, while a curved blue-and-red basket shape gathers below the birds like a nest. The effect is exuberant rather than solemn — doves settling into a tangle of color rather than descending from an empty sky.
