Lovely Bouquet of Flowers

A dark, basket-like vessel holds an overflowing bouquet built from thick, looping strokes of violet, crimson, and marigold, laid on with a palette knife and punctuated by soft blush-pink petals. Behind it, a dense curtain of forest green and gold suggests garden foliage catching afternoon light, giving the arrangement real depth against the backdrop. The paint stands in raised ridges throughout the blooms, and a loose white signature is scrawled into the lower right corner. Lovely Bouquet of Flowers — an original work by Veronica Ruiz de Velasco.
