Puerto Fina

Three small sailboats — their sails painted in hot yellow, orange, and red-trimmed white — cluster on a turquoise harbor in the foreground, riding loose, choppy brushstrokes of blue and aqua water. Behind them rises a tightly packed row of harborside buildings in ochre, magenta, and coral, their forms dissolving into gestural color rather than architectural detail. Overhead, diagonal streaks of teal, gold, and crimson rake across the sky like strung pennants catching the wind, giving the whole scene a festive, sun-bright energy.
