Success Boats

Four small sailboats, each built from a single thick knife-stroke of color, ride a sea rendered as one continuous swirl of teal and navy brushwork — the water reads almost like a fingerprint or a slow whirlpool, circling rather than receding into distance. A blue-hulled boat with a white sail sits apart near the top, while a red, a yellow, and an orange hull cluster below, each topped with a cream or white sail standing at a slightly different tilt. A narrow band of sandy tan along the bottom edge and pale pink-white sky above frame the water without competing with it. The mood is buoyant rather than turbulent — small, bright vessels holding their own against a lot of moving blue. Success Boats — an original work by Veronica Ruiz de Velasco. Authenticity & Terms.
