Alexa

Set against a burnt-orange ground split by a single wandering line of teal, a woman's profile turns slightly away, her blue eyes rimmed in black and her mouth a quick stroke of red-orange. Her hair falls in golden ringlets at each shoulder, coiled tight where the rest of the painting stays loose and open. Alexa — an original pastel by Veronica Ruiz de Velasco.
