A churning, silvery-white sky presses low over deep cobalt water, its clouds built from thick, wind-blown strokes that read almost as sea spray thrown upward. Four toy-simple sailboats — hulls of yellow, green, red, and magenta, sails a uniform cream — bob in a loose line across the foreground swell, small and bright against the storm-colored expanse behind them. The scale contrast, tiny vessels under an enormous, restless sky, gives the water its weather.
