A striped ceramic vase — bands of deep navy, brick red, cream, and gold — holds an overflowing bouquet of red, golden-yellow, cobalt, and white blossoms, each petal laid on in thick, ridged strokes. The arrangement fills most of the canvas against a mottled green wall and a red tabletop, dense and top-heavy with color.
