Thick swirls of white, sage green, and pale blue churn across the upper two-thirds of the canvas in overlapping, wave-like strokes, their motion interrupted by a dark umber band that cuts horizontally through the composition like a line of shore or driftwood, before the surface opens again into deeper blue-green water rendered in the same restless, curling brushwork below.
