    Before she painted, Veronica Ruiz de Velasco danced. Her years as a ballerina return again and again in these canvases — bodies caught mid-leap, fiesta-bright color standing in for the traditional whites of the stage. This collection gathers her ballet and theater works, drawn from the La Danza series and beyond, where movement itself becomes the subject.
